Philip Baumeister |
| Philip W. Baumeister passed away on October 22, 2003. Ever since his use of computers to design coatings in the 1950's, Phil has had an enormous influence on this field. Phil taught a course about the design and manufacture of optical thin film coatings at UCLA for many years. Recently, his famous loose-leaf notes have been published by SPIE as a book.
